A Portrait of Polly's Perspective!

by Jude Cowell

Although many moons have passed, my Portrait of Polly's Perspective, a simple pencil drawing on white paper, is finally completed for your consideration!

Inside scoop: Her expression suggests something of a throwback to my past days as high school newpaper cartoonist, and Polly's unusual point of view as depicted in this pencil portrait reminds me of my own views when the principal of my school vetoed my more, shall we say, political cartoons.

In other words, Mr. Hmhmhm basically turned the high school cartoonist into a Caspar Milquetoast via censorship, so that Fight the Power leanings of the 1960s were successfully squelched.

Yet all these years later, we find that Polly retains her own ideas!

So for political ideas and topics discussed through the excellent lens of Astrology, join me at Stars Over Washington where I attempt to translate astrologese into English, and you're free to agree or take issue as you may!

'Purple Pansies' by Jude Cowell w Spinning Art Cube

Have you seen my drawing of Purple Pansies somewhere before? Maybe you have here, there, or...perhaps as the banner image for my Zazzle Art Shop, mmm-m-m?

Well, don't go art browsing there yet!

First, please try to spy Purple Pansies on one panel of a 6-sided spinning Time Capsule Art Cube from 1996. Cosmic drawings are included so you can see what my pencils were up to in those olden days.

Spying Hint: you'll see more of the stone stairs from the drawing above and less of the pansies. C'est la vie!

Fair Warning: tiptoe gingerly for there are huge gaggles of varmints, gangsters, charlatans, and stinging pests underneath the political rocks of Washington DC...

Plus, there's a Food and Diet article I published just today concerning the Raphanus sativa if you dare!

How about an Artful visit to an 'Isle of Ruins' ?

Isle of Ruins by Jude Cowell (c) Unscene World 2010+

This posting of Isle of Ruins is a 'noble re-publish' of one of my cosmic-themed drawings from 1996. After a morning of blogging @ my Political Astrology blog Stars Over Washington concerning proposed financial reform and Senator Bernie Sanders' amendment to Audit the Fed, the image of America in ruins is freshly imprinted on my mind and heart.

For as I've always blogged: forget the 'Ds vs Rs' - America is my only nag in the race!

Then there's my Scottish friend, astrologer Anne Whitaker and her family who recently sojourned on the magical Isle of Iona which I hear is an amazingly gorgeous and peaceful spot of great antiquity!

Here's a photo of a rocky Iona shoreline which Anne kindly sent along to me and yes, Anne, this Georgian is a little envious of your trip to such lovely and historic environs!

Remember: my Zazzle Art Shop is always open for browsing with art posters, greeting cards, mousepads, keychains, sticky stickers and much more!

When Do You Want to Know a Secret?

As the Bush-Cheney administration packs up to leave the White House in January '09, they're tucking many heinous secrets into their saddlebags and hoping to hide their deepest flaws from the public and from other interested parties.

Here you see a drawing from my Cosmic Persona Designs collection, Secret Gazer, which asks a certain question of you:

Do you want to know a secret?

Dreamyfish Art for portraits of certain tropical fish of Western Australia...some may be pretty shady characters like the False senator wrasse, a varmint if there ever was one.

If you like the infrequent and possibly groanworthy rhyme (perhaps of the limerick persuasion), try Lim's Limericks as dictated by Mr.A. Cat and his cohort, Lim, my chef and roommate. I'm merely the blog's typist and would-be editor and contributor.

Who knew cats could be so political? But as Lim often says, just because you have no interest in Politics, doesn't mean Politics isn't interested in you.

Wise words worth remembering. So don't think you're well-out. For you're not.

Mr.A.Cat, Esq., it may now be told, is a former agent in service to our nation. In a word, a spycat, as we may murmur in private company. 'Nuff said.

Actually, you, Lone Reader, may prefer Politics through the lens of Astrology for a peek under the hoods of political hoods...if so, visit:
