World Drawing Day June 4, 2011: join in!

Image
Such good news for those among us who love to draw! Upload your artwork to the Drawing Day site on June 4, 2011 to be included in an online gallery and a chance to have your work published in the Drawing Day book. Being as prolific as I be, it's a bit of a head-scratcher to decide which image to upload - Children's, Botanical, or Adult themed? Perhaps something botanical from my Dreamyfish Art collection? Or should it be a freshly drawn offering? Debut! Secret Moon Art Calendar 2011

Image
Before leaving town for a New Years weekend (and birthday) spree, I've managed to create and publish the first-ever Secret Moon Art Calendar 2011 ! Cosmic, Moon, Fairy, and Botanical illustrations are included for kids and adults of all ages, and you know that this Sun Capricorn loves the usefulness of using my artwork on a wall calendar. Above you see a snippet of the new calendar's cover image, a mossy Hidden Garden with a fairy visitor, and I hope you'll sashay over to Jude Cowell Art Shop at Zazzle where you may view each month of *Secret Moon Art Calendar 2011's images. Happy New Year, Everyone! See you again in 2011... ~:~ *Titles of each illustration are listed on back of the calendar so that images are without text and may be framed later on, as you wish. jc

Purple trillium, a botanical drawing

Image
Here's a close-up of my drawing, Purple trillium and yes, I know trillium usually grow in clumps but I wanted my drawing to feature the little fellow in his own cosmically inspired portrait...fairy visitor is complimentary! This drawing displays my usual and favorite artistic blend of real (flower) with imaginary (fairy and scenery) so if you speak astrologese, you'll know it's a Saturn/Neptune kind of thing. Right?
