Here's a detail from my botanical interpretation of a lovely sprig of Jimson weed blooming in moonlight and you may view the drawing in its entirety @ 2 Hours if you wish.
For if you're anything like me, you so love purple flowers of any hue!

Presenting to you my new '8mm film short' of Dreamyfish Art denizens sending a message to their 'Gulf Coast cousins' concerning the scar that is the BP-Gulf oil spill of April 20, 2010.
And no one seems to know how to begin to cure it. Committee meetings shall be held in Washington so we know it's a point of discussion there but the sea is way too deep. Therefore, conclusions leading to actions may be politically tentative and risky but who knows the consequences of action until you try?
And yet...things feel...fishy. In more ways than one. Because...
If this entire Capitol Hill charade with BP, Transocean, and Halliburton execs (lined up like little penguins quacking out of both sides of their bills about how they don't-know-can't-say-wait-and-see) is really about BP filing for bankruptcy and skirting their responsibilities while making off like racoons, then I, for one, will be very very cross...no, enraged to the point of complete snitdom at the oil industry's craven audacity.
If this sounds as if I jest, I do not. If it seems so, perhaps I misspoke. There's a bunch of that going around these days especially in DC where its cover first hooded a politician's tongue.
Well, at least there's a smidgen of Art around to keep me calm, right?
With out Art and my love of Drawing I'd go batty with all the Astrology and Politics I attempt to follow and blog about almost every day.
But never mind that now. Time to dog paddle over to Dreamyfish Art if you find you're developing a yen to view additional botanical fish portraits of South Australian fish (with their botanical names) as my pencils have pictured them within the imaginary scenery of their more colorful dreams.
Because fish dream, too, you know! But never do they dream of oil spills.
Have you seen this, one of my first-ever attempts at creating an Art Film Short, Come Home which premiered online in 2007 as I began feeling strongly the rays of dissolving Neptune upon America's natal Moon in Aquarius.
Yes, a Moon/Neptune contact fits public display (Moon) of media, mass entertainment, or Art (Neptune) yet the sense of rootlessness and loss that Neptune-to-Moon engenders is palpable here as well as across the globe. Keys are being left in mailboxes as people skedaddle out from the crushing burden of over-extended financial conditions while others are made refugees by way of political and military forces.
For as you know, the Moon in a Mundane Astrology chart signifies The People or Populace...or, in the case of our nation, we-the-people (Moon in Aquarius!)
Even the BP-Gulf oil spill at the Deepwater Horizon oil platform on April 20, 2010 may be described by Lunar/Neptunian forces which can, like leaking gas, overpower us before we know the danger...a silent enemy creeping.
The Deepwater (Neptune) Horizon (Jupiter) 'blowout' has irreparably harmed US citizens (Moon) thanks to an over-the-line oil industry which has no idea to how to repair the problem because it's 5 miles under the sea.
What was BP's plan in case of failure? None that were tested for such depths!
So Gulf region jobs and careers are being lost, marine and other animals are being grievously wounded or killed, and it all may result in....the loss of more homes.
In fact, you may wish to check out the Habitat for Humanity's international website for what to do about the situation...or your own family's situation!
Speaking of the fishies, take a mo and float dreamily over to my collection of botanical fish drawings @ Dreamyfish Art where SAVE OUR OCEANS is the constant refrain.
Now added to the sidebar: a Marine News feed for keeping up with the latest marine animal news, plus related environmental issues and articles.
Heads-Up: if you'd like to view the Horoscope of the BP-Gulf oil spill you might begin @ Stars Over Washington where you'll see that asteroid Hidalgo is rising at 9:50 pm. "Around 10 pm" seems to be the most often mentioned timing for the disastrous event of April 20, 2010.
Plus, Mexico's independence chart (birth chart) is shown with my notes scribbled upon it (click to enlarge chart image), and birth data for Spain and for New Orleans are listed in case you don't have the info handy.

How do you like my new Time Capsule Art Cube with 6 of my drawings from ye olde 1996? That was for me a year of a Jupiter Return, or Reward Cycle, as Noel Tyl terms it. Of course, we all have returns of Jupiter to its natal position at our births but it takes about 12 years for the cycle to start and complete.
Therefore, the end of one Jupiter cycle is the beginning of the next...the end is in the beginning. Such is Astrology.
The Time Capsule Art Cube's images are listed below in no particular order (but there are necessarily only 6 of them for cube's sake):
1. Timeless Path
2. Clouds Descend Near Turquoise Pond (sorry. that's a rather long one)
3. Eclipse with Pansies
4. Path to Blue Tree Castle
5. View from Cave Observatory
6. Silver Tree
When it isn't so late an hour I shall return to add links for each image separately so you can view one or two of them for more than 3 seconds, if you like. At least you can slow down the Art Cube with your browser or a digit. Right?
Jude's Art Shop @ Zazzle is always open for browsing and you have an open invitation to mosey by!

Path to an Ancient Temple is a noble republish of one of my jungle-y drawings from about 3 years ago.
This image puts me in mind of a similar illustration I've used to represent the last degree of Pisces where Jupiter and Uranus must soon tarry a moment before conjoining the Aries Point (00Ari00:00) in tandem @ 00Ari18 on June 8, 2010.
This grand rendevous of Jupiter and Uranus @ AP may bring the world some kind of new wonderment! Even new, enthralling insights into Astrology or Religion are potentials.
'30 Pisces' = "The Great Stone Face"...
Quoting in part from Marc Edmund Jones' book, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology (my bold):
Each individual selects the image within himself to which he would shape himself outwardly, and this he comes to resemble as in Nathaniel Hawthorne's tale. Destiny is character as it most persistently constitutes itself.
positive expression: self-integrity in its irresistible impact on the course of events;
negative/unconscious/shadow side: wholly inarticulate and ineffectual self-realization.
Whenever Uranus reaches AP during the erratic planet's 84-year cycle, society experiences scientific breakthroughs in areas such as Bio-Genetics, Electronics, Technology, Space or Oceanic Explorations, or other fields where Uranian innovation is the key to progress.
You may have already heard of some such in the news recently as mankind steps out boldly once again whether he knows where his new direction will ultimately lead...or not. (He doesn't, actually.)
Finding one's genetic roots and cloning are hot topics appearing in more and more TV and film tales so hold on to your DNA for we may have monstrous creations of the Frankensteinian kind announced or thrust upon society this year.
But you know how I feel about these things: just because Science can doesn't mean it should.
You may enjoy viewing a similar drawing of the Great Lichen Forest with Fairy, or how about a browse in my Zazzle Art Shop for starters?

Isle of Ruins by Jude Cowell (c) Unscene World 2010+
This posting of Isle of Ruins is a 'noble re-publish' of one of my cosmic-themed drawings from 1996. After a morning of blogging @ my Political Astrology blog Stars Over Washington concerning proposed financial reform and Senator Bernie Sanders' amendment to Audit the Fed, the image of America in ruins is freshly imprinted on my mind and heart.
For as I've always blogged: forget the 'Ds vs Rs' - America is my only nag in the race!
Then there's my Scottish friend, astrologer Anne Whitaker and her family who recently sojourned on the magical Isle of Iona which I hear is an amazingly gorgeous and peaceful spot of great antiquity!
Here's a photo of a rocky Iona shoreline which Anne kindly sent along to me and yes, Anne, this Georgian is a little envious of your trip to such lovely and historic environs!
Remember: my Zazzle Art Shop is always open for browsing with art posters, greeting cards, mousepads, keychains, sticky stickers and much more!

On a hill far away grows a clump of Primula vialli blooming in the moonlight and it seems a pink flower fairy has dropped by!
Here's a lovely photo of the blooms, plus, the BBC's website has gardening tips advising you how best how to grow Primula vialli.
Nothing said about moonlight though...but here at Secret Moon Art, you're totally hooked up with the lovely Primula vialli!
