Shouting Out Singapore

Why are safari users in Singapore ruffling Secret Moon Art? Why?

Are you thieves, hackers, or both? Perhaps just visiting my SMA art collection all of a sudden?

In a spirit of generosity, here's a drawing of mine meant for true browsers of Art, 'Blue Trumpet Flower Under Crescent Moon':

Path to an Unknown Destination appears

While searching tonight for a certain path'n'portal illustration in my files, I instead tripped across the image below and am uncertain whether it was ever published anywhere--and note that in person, the paper is blacker than it appears here, which of course also depends on the device you're using.

Anyway, check out an incomplete drawing 'Path to an Unknown Destination' which is how it feels these days under the Trump regime to live in a sabotaged America:

Looks as if the drawing was left about 1/3 of the way through...

Secret Moon Art says, Happy New Year 2011!

Happy New Year to All!

Well, today is December 28, 2010 and with 2011 soon upon us Secret Moon Art offers a thankful and bubbly toast to all its viewers, visitors, and discriminating art supporters - you're the best!

Waiting round the January 1, 2011 bend is a Solar Eclipse on January 4, 2011 @ 13Cap38 which 'eclipses' my natal Sun. As you know, eclipses are considered 'wild cards' in Astrology (well, in life actually!) so there's no certainty how having a Solar Eclipse for my birthday will play out for the erstwhile artist and blogger who types at you now.

One thing I do know: 2011 will be an important year in some fashion for me personally and it remains to be seen just how. What to expect? Well, 'wild card' evokes similar vibes as those of quirky planet Uranus in a horoscope so 'expect the unexpected' may be my best personal prognostication for the moment!

~:~

Astro-Notes: Opposing our nation's natal Sun (the leader), the Solar Eclipse 13Cap38 of Jan 4, 2011 is part of the 13 North Series whose initial eclipse occurred on August 14, 1776 @ 21Leo52 with Jupiter 14Can40 conjunct US natal Sun. It is closely associated with the founding of America and its energy has these particular influences:

large groups and associations; ambitious group projects that require the breaking of an existing bond which leads to shared success; separation, then joint achievement. (Paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

Compared to what our nation has experienced in the last decade, this eclipse's influence could be a lot worse, couldn't it? And manifesting so near New Years Day, the eclipse will 'mark' the entire year of 2011 so I sincerely hope it bodes well for our nation and for the world because we could all use a fortunate break about now.

Dog Clouds Gird the Moon!

For Holiday Season 2010 and the wintry weather so prevalent across the land, this never-before-published and somewhat brightly colored drawing from 2003 is titled Dog Clouds Gird the Moon.

Wishing Merry Holidays to all Secret Moon Art viewers and supporters and their kith'n'kin!

Moonlight Rain and New Moon in Sag 12.5.10

Here's a little Moonlight Rain to celebrate (discreetly, of course!) the December 5, 2010 New Moon in Sagittarius, sign of The Seeker.

The illustration above shows a Full Moon which definitely isn't as dark as tonight, Saturday night, and Sunday night will progressively be for we're in the 3-day Balsamic phase prior to the precise moment the New Moon perfects with the Sun (and I'd need to draw a totally blacked-out Moon to show the lunation precisely, so why not settle for this lighter representation of a Full Moon, yes?)

Because in only two weeks, the Dec 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse in Gemini will manifest as the culmination and fulfillment of this Monday's New Moon 13Sag28 when seeds of new ventures are planted and nurtured.

(Click link to view the New Moon's chart image w details, EST.)

Why, it's almost lyrical, the Dec 5 New Moon's Sabian Symbol: '14Sag'..."The Pyramid and the Sphinx" and yet something sinister underneath the symbol cannot be ruled out - especially if you study the mundane horoscopes of Politics and political thespians as I often do!

A Fairy's Secret Valley

Today a new drawing for you so you may meander down a secluded path in A Fairy's Secret Valley!

Yet because Secret Moon Art isn't exclusively for Fairy Art (or Faerie Art, if you prefer), I went wandering about on your behalf and discovered some lovely Fairy Art sites for ethereal perusal such as Fairy Art.net, Art by Sarah Pittman, and some free-to-use Fairy clip art which may be found at Karen Whimsy's site.

Related is the Sur La Lune Fairy Tale Blog, a treat for eyes and minds!

And of course, if you wish a journey to view the transcendental artwork of one of America's premiere Visionary Artists you simply can never go off-path with Mr. Gilbert Williams, an early inspiration of mine.

Now I feel a bit sheepish admitting it, but somewhere packed away I have a book of his paintings which was published quite a few moons ago - and when I locate it one day, you might be able to hear my woot! all the way from Georgia!

Oh where can it be? Perhaps the pink fairies purloined it...

Primula vialli blooming in moonlight

On a hill far away grows a clump of Primula vialli blooming in the moonlight and it seems a pink flower fairy has dropped by!

Here's a lovely photo of the blooms, plus, the BBC's website has gardening tips advising you how best how to grow Primula vialli.

Nothing said about moonlight though...but here at Secret Moon Art, you're totally hooked up with the lovely Primula vialli!

Red banded wrasse says, Fish Art as apparel? Yeah!

A small Red banded wrasse has floated in to say, check out my Zazzle Art Shop for botanically drawn fish designs on various products and apparel! Can fish make good mousepads? you ask. Why, yes they can and do.

Plus, here's a heads-up direct from me to you:

A new Links List has appeared in Secret Moon Art's sidebar column containing a few of my favorite Zazzle Shops - more will be added soon - so do swim over the 'net when you can and visit their wildlife offerings and wonderful nature paintings, too.

Or you may wish to check out my designs at Cafe Press, if you prefer their site.

After all, gift-giving season nears, y'know!

Update Dec 21, 2009: my excellent friend, libramoon, has penned a few lines of lovely wintry prose to go with the above scene...I turn you over to libramoon:

Traveling eternal twilight's hidden path
ever verging on ecstatic realization
touch to cold, to wisping snow, to winter
dreams barely beneath faith-scented falling sky
echoing life, sending faint refrain from shadow
beyond the winds of winter's night.

Have you an 'Evening Path' to take?

Have you an Evening Path to take beside a lake for goodness' sake?
As shadows lengthen will you pine perhaps recline near fairy's vine?

A primrose fair is nestled there to ease all care beyond compare
I'll leave a sign for you to find a breadcrumb rhyme along Life's line.
