Mirror with Vase of Dried Flowers
Here's a simple little pencil drawing, a still life from a while back. Through the years I've usually done a few drawings of each place we've lived. This is one of a series.

Isle of Ruins (more Art from 1996)
When I drew this large image in 1996, little did I know how ruinous so many areas of the world would be in 2007.
And I'm sorry for it.

Cosmic Art from 1996 turns up!
Not the Art actually but the art's photos which had been lost or in hiding for simply years.
Five photos from my Cosmic phase have been unexpectedly located this very day and here's the first installment for you, Clouds Descending Near Turquioise Pond.
Well, you know how small the average scannerbed is--mine is 8.69" x 11"--so only smaller drawings need apply for my online showings. But these 5 from 1996 are in the 20" x 24" range and now that I've discovered the hide-out of the photos, they will be debuted in the Secret Moon Art Gallery one by one. Drop back for more, if you wish!
After all, 1996 was a pretty good year in many respects especially when you compare it to how things are going in the world since the New Millenium--an over-hyped illusion of grandeur, if there ever was one.
Yet still...we must Cosmic On, so Enjoy!

Misty Night v2
The background is coming into focus now...is this what you envisioned? (see previous image) It may not be the great green gobs of granulated gopher guts that you imagined, dunno...but it'll have to do.
Now! should a fairy pop out of the bushes...or not? Either way is fine with me but you know that sometimes fairies insinuate themselves unbidden into my drawings and I know of no remedy for it.
Let me know what you think by emailing to judecowell@gmail dot com for I would like to finish this drawing before the cows come home. They'll be tired and grumpy.

Full Moon at Green Arch Observatory
Tonight's Full Moon appearing with the jolly planet Jupiter has inspired one of my 'observatory' drawings (Prismacolor oil pencils and Rexel Derwent watercolours.)
To read why this Full Moon actually isn't a Blue Moon as some have called it read NPR's Blue Moon? article or listen to the broadcast from this morning.

Pink Fairy armadillo
This little Pink Fairy is being spied upon from behind the tree by Pattillo Armadillo for Pattillo has never seen such a critter before...even though they must be cousins!
Do you have any 'mystery cousins' you've never seen the likes of before?

Under the 'Shroom Home Snooze
Here's Pattillo Armadillo snoozing underneath a 'Shroom Home while on his hero's journey...as told in, Pattillo Armadillo and the Dream of Green. This drawing was a reject from his 'dummybook' but he looks pretty snugged in, don't you think?
Only the zzz-z-z-z-zs are missing!
And be sure to check out the latest political limericks at Lim's Limericks where cats-who-blog hold sway with verve and sass.

'Shroom Home by the Lake
This drawing of a 'shroom home is a reject from my first-ever childrens book--or the dummybook actually--called, Silvery Tree Path...just so you know.
Looks cozy if you're elfin-sized or of the fairy persuasion.
