Silverbelly: BP-Gulf Oil leak now capped!

Oh look! A little Silverbelly has floated in from Dreamyfish Art to Secret Moon Art to crow a bit - well, to glub, actually - over today's capping of the BP oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico!

Oil is now longer flowing as of BP's efforts today so let's hope the oil keeps not flowing, shall we? Woot!

Then perhaps my faith in the flavor of the July 11, 2010 Solar Eclipse isn't completely misplaced even though today's success (coming a mere 4 days after the Eclipse!) is temporary with BP saying they plan to 'plug' the well in August, which is meant to be a more permanent solution than today's 'tight-fitting' cap.

The July 11, 2010 Solar Eclipse in oceanic, watery Cancer (@19Can24, the sign of the crab!) contains a flavor of 'things at first seem worse, then clear with successful outcomes' so after all these weeks of oil, gas, and dispersants ruining the waters, shores, and livelihoods of the Gulf Coast region, this 'clearing' outcome sounds very good to me. You?

A Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011!

Look! It's Bebe who has wafted into Secret Moon Art today just to tout her pin-up status in my new Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011 of fanciful figure studies!

Bebe Blushing is her full name - well, her portrait's name - and I hope you'll check out Miss January 2011 and the rest of the months' portraits, too.

Here's a direct link that will whisk you away to view the Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011 where my 12 ladies representing the glamorous side of the Lilith archetype await your visit!

Art Note: 'fanciful figure studies' refers to my adult-themed artwork which I consider suitable viewing for age 17+ only. View more @ Cosmic Persona Designs, if you dare.

'Liberty Cries' collage now an Art Poster for your wall!

This is something new to try: posting the image of my newest Art Poster @ Zazzle created from my paper collage, Liberty Cries.

Please pardon all the links you see here for they 'came along' with the image code!

And the reason it says 'cowelljude' is that Zazzle insisted that 'judecowell' and other forms of my name were already taken when I set up my Zazzle Art Shop in 2009.

So be it. Maybe I'll run into me one day...

Comet McNaught and Comet Skies - June 2010

Comet Skies, a drawing by Jude Cowell (c) 2010 and beyond...

If you've ever noticed within yourself an interest in comets and their timely arrivals (and who hasn't?) then mid-June 2010 is the perfect time to look up to catch a cameo appearance by none other than Comet McNaught, a recently noticed green fuzzball now approaching Earth's little patch of the solar system!
